Meet The Hosts

Kelsey Harmon Finn

Kelsey has committed her career to creating team cultures that have a positive impact on their environment. Through curiosity, relationship building, empathy, and fun, Kelsey has the unique ability to bring seemingly unlike ideas together for positive impact. Her hope is to help people be their best self in whatever they do so that magic happens.

With 25 years of service in higher education, Kelsey is currently a podcast host of Campus Confidential and the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives with Compass Group USA. Prior to this role she was the CEO of National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), where she provided leadership, vision, and ongoing strategic planning for NACAS, NACAS Foundation and four NACAS regions.  Kelsey has held leadership positions at the University of Michigan with Learfield, University of California Berkeley, University of Nevada Las Vegas, Illinois State University, and College of DuPage.

Originally from Illinois, Kelsey holds her Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation and Master of Science in Education from Illinois State University in Normal IL.

Loren Rullman, Ph.D.

Loren Rullman serves as Principal and Director of Higher Education for Workshop Architects, a Milwaukee-based Certified B Corp specializing in design, planning, and strategy for higher education. As Director, he helps institutional leaders make informed decisions to impact student experience and success.

Prior to joining Workshop in 2021 Loren spent 32 years in various university leadership roles – most recently as Vice Provost for Student Affairs at Grand Valley State University and Associate Vice President for Student Life at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He is a recipient of alumni awards from Indiana University and Valparaiso University, and dissertation awards from the American Association of University Administrators and the Japanese American Citizens League. Loren has presented at over 50 conferences, authored 15 publications, consulted for more than two dozen universities, led over $1 billion in renovation and construction, and co-hosts a higher education podcast about leadership.

He holds a B.A. in Communication from Valparaiso University, a M.S. in Education from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Policy from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
